CROSS COUNTRY: Forest Park Boys & Girls Qualify for State Tournament

  The Forest Park boys and girls cross country teams qualified for the Class AAAAAA state meet last weekend by finishing in the top four at the Region 4-AAAAAA cross country championships held at Druid Hills Middle School. Forest Park’s boys finished second to Tucker High School to punch their ticket to the state meet.

The Forest Park Lady Panthers came in first place in the girls event with a low team score of 46. Jennifer Quintero led the Lady Panthers with a third-place finish of 25:43. Stephanie Escobar came in fourth place at 25:44, while Jessica Avitia crossed the finish line in ninth place at 27:24.10.
